Baboon (iOS Game)

Baboon is a game developed by Michael Sarill who is passionate about conserving endangered animals. Michael hoped to use revenue on saving those animals. I did art direction and worked on most visual and managed the animator.

OVERVIEW
Baboon 2 is a game that defends wildlife from poachers in a magical jungle.

ROLE
I was a Product Designer and Art Director who builds the game aesthetic concept to the full UX/UI for iOS devices.

METHODS

  • Produced wireframes/rapid mocks to the final product (iPhone and iPad), while driving the product design process and mitigating future client discrepancies with the end product.
  • Consulted with the client to spark the creation of concepts and specifications to improve product functionality, value, and appearance.
  • Set visual style, made illustrations, and refined the product's interaction by liaising with an engineer.

2. Stage Selection
I closely worked with the client to deliver his vision into the living visual. Later I was involved in the upgrade of the second version as well. Baboon is an iOS game that I adapted for phones and tablets. Level Selector was redesigned to show the available level and purchasable levels clearly.

Select level screen within the background (stage) of different locations. Each level shows the achievement via stump design that the client wanted to use.
